An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
